Branding and interior artwork for Wilde Beest, a modern farm-to-table restaurant in Kingston, NY. We designed all of the restaurant’s branding and collateral – their logo, website, windows, menus, business cards, gift certificates, and more.
Inside the restaurant, the large-format artworks are “enhanced Audubons” – classic Audubon illustrations with mixed media painted on top. First, we chose animals that suited the space, then added white paint, black charcoal and oil pastels to make the prints more alive. We then enlarged and framed the art on the walls, with a nod to humor (squirrels over the bar), intensity (a bobcat hovering over a 5-top) and beauty (an alluring fox in the entry.)

Patricio Binaghi of Paripé Books created a book series, American, designed by Matt Willey, Art Director of New York Times magazine. Binaghi asked artists to interpret photos from the 60s depicting American life. I painted over them, isolating part of the image to create a piece with new meaning.
