Branding and interior artwork for Wilde Beest, a modern farm-to-table restaurant in Kingston, NY. We designed all of the restaurant’s branding and collateral – their logo, website, windows, menus, business cards, gift certificates, and more.

Inside the restaurant, the large-format artworks are “enhanced Audubons” – classic Audubon illustrations with mixed media painted on top. First, we chose animals that suited the space, then added white paint, black charcoal and oil pastels to make the prints more alive. We then enlarged and framed the art on the walls, with a nod to humor (squirrels over the bar), intensity (a bobcat hovering over a 5-top) and beauty (an alluring fox in the entry.)

Design in Paris

We're back from a week in Paris and the French countryside where the design – and landscape – were impeccable. Among the castles, wind turbines, and elegant streets, the most notable design sights were the department store Le Bon Marché, Merci, Hotel Providence, and the floor-to-ceiling poster exhibition at le Signe Centre National du Graphisme à Chaumont

Thomas Cole National Historic Site

Design and collateral items for the Thomas Cole National Historic Site in Catskill, NY. Their new exhibition, The Parlors, features a new way to experience a historic house museum. We designed their 2017 materials, including invitations, brochures, advertising, and high-end donor materials. The invitation got more comments than any other printed piece they've done!

American, designed by Matt Willey, Art Director of New York Times magazine

Patricio Binaghi of Paripé Books created a book series, American, designed by Matt Willey, Art Director of New York Times magazine. Binaghi asked artists to interpret photos from the 60s depicting American life. I painted over them, isolating part of the image to create a piece with new meaning. The books will be released in Fall 2017.
